Arthur C. Clarke is best known for writing 2001: A Space Odyssey, but he has long history of predicting technologies. He was one of the first to popularize the idea of the geostationary communication satellite way back in 1945, but it's equally incredible to see him predict the smartwatch in this 1976 video interview with AT&T. Though he does acknowledge that Dick Tracy used a "wristwatch radio," he takes it one step further, telling the interviewer that the "wristwatch telephone will be technologically feasible very soon."
