Last night, the National reconvened in Cincinnati, Ohio for the MusicNOW Festival, the annual event founded by the band's own Bryce Dessner. For their first performance of 2015, the band recieved help from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; below, watch footage of the two musical entities collaborating on High Violet classics “Runaway” and “England”, courtesy of Consequence of Sound. Consequence of Sound also reports that Aaron Dessner had to bow out of Friday night’s performance in order to attend to his wife and the impending birth of their child. Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry took his place.
