Absolutely yes. I can't stand the idea of following the World Cup in winter. There are too many football events in winter and I always associate the World Cup with summer and holidays! I'd go for a change of venue now, before it's too late to organize it!
Dozens of Nepalese migrant labourers have died in Qatar in recent weeks and thousands more are enduring appalling labour abuses, a Guardian investigation has found, raising serious questions about Qatar's preparations to host the 2022 World Cup. This summer, Nepalese workers died at a rate of almost one a day in Qatar, many of them young men who had sudden heart attacks. The investigation found evidence to suggest that thousands of Nepalese, who make up the single largest group of labourers in Qatar, face exploitation and abuses that amount to modern-day slavery, as defined by the International Labour Organisation, during a building binge paving the way for 2022.
I agree with laiskantor and IvanMinea, I think it should be relocated. I think it was riddiculous in the first place and quite sad that it's money deciding alone where these events take place. The evolution of the world cups and olympics in the past years is sad. Mostly authoricratic countries ...
And I think the 2022 should be relocated, and perhaps they should do something like the Euro 2020 where different countries host different matches. Or perhaps some past candidates like Spain and or Portugal, as the infrastructure is ready, as well as fans, tourism, hotels....
Yes definitely should be relocated apart from the fact that corruption clearly played a part in Qatar winning the bid it is just absurd to create so much chaos in the football calendar to make up for the mistake in choosing Qatar
