Don't try to sneak denim onto the set of Jane the Virgin. Because that's simply a battle you won't win. I learned this first-hand one day back in January. The first thing I was told before setting foot onto the Manhattan Beach stages where the show shoots was that as an extra in the big dance sequence, my attire was to be party-appropriate — bright colors, no black and absolutely no denim. The rule made sense, of course. The show is set in Miami and no one wears jeans to the beach, much less a party and concert at a hotel as upscale as The Marbella.
