Gareth Edwards' 2016 Star Wars movie, Rogue One, will include a musical contribution from Alexandre Desplat, the composer said in a radio interview.
Desplat previously worked with the director on 2014's Godzilla, and his work on the score of The Grand Budapest Hotel earned him the best original score award at this year's Oscars.
"When I saw Gareth Edwards’ first film, which was called Monsters, I was really blown away by his talent and so I immediately agreed [to compose the score for Godzilla]," Desplat said during the interview, as quoted by France's Le Point. "And the good news is that we are going to do another movie together very soon, which is a spinoff of Star Wars. So that is very, very exciting."
