Neill Blomkamp's Alien movie — currently in development at Fox — might have been created independently of the studio's plans for a follow-up to Ridley Scott's Prometheus, but the director says that the two will easily co-exist in terms of plot.
"I changed the one thing [Scott] felt was bumping Prometheus a little bit," Blomkamp told Empire about potential plot clashes between his revival of Scott's earlier space horror franchise and the current prequel series set in the same fictional universe. "One thing that makes me feel good about it is that Ridley is producing it. He likes the idea of what I want to make."
