A VERY small gap has opened up between the end of the Easter school holidays and the start of the blockbuster season. So before the Marvel juggernaut rolls into town with Avengers: Age Of Ultron, rival studios decided to put out some movies made for grown-ups. This week, I’m reviewing a Danish Western, a period romance and this dense thriller set in 1953 Russia. Of the three, this is the one I looked forward to the most. It has a superb cast, a talented director and is based on a gripping, best-selling novel.
