When I first saw it, that device letting the user to experience the recorder's memory as if it's her/his own, had fascinated me. I thought it's a shame that a few people appreciate this. Kathryn Bigelow is a smart lady:)
She is indeed! You just made me discover that she was the director of this movie... did not know. You might appreciate an italian movie called "Nirvana" if you liked Strange Days... not sure how much it got distributed internationally though.
I looked it up:) thank you:)) I'm gonna download it...
I really like Christopher Lambert; esp before his highlander and mortal combat series. they were terrible for me. But I can suggest Subway and Knight moves if we're talking about the movies few people remember:)
The Fall (a Tarsem movie), Before sunrise, Waking Life (I'm a Linklater fan), Le Grand Bleu and Subway (Luc Besson's masterpieces), Shutter island, Blue Valentine, Beginners (last year's best, I think), Melancholia... These are first that come to my mind. I suggest if you haven't already watched...
you're welcome:) I also suggest "the legend of 1900" and "tous les matins du monde" if you are obsessed with music like me:) and "Modigliani" the biographical film of Amadeo Modigliani, one of my favorite artists. Enjoy:)
and if you have any suggestions for me, I'd like to hear:) Thx.
ahhh... I guess Morricone was behind the music of "the legend of 1900" right? I have Morricone's CD but never saw the movie. :) Even though you might not like musicals, two movies worth watching are "Jesus Christ Super Star" and "The Phantom of the Opera", both by the great Andrew Loydd Webber
You know Morricone and you haven't seen the movie! then you'll love it:) and there's a magical scene when the music starts..ok, let's talk after you watch:) Thanks for the suggestions, I'm so into musicals:) esp. the old ones:) and "the phantom of the opera" has a unique place in my life, maybe b...
:) I think the Phantom is such a great story, from so many facets. Will check out the movie then... but considering how much I am working in these days, it will take me few weeks to get to it.
