The white Amazon Kindle e-reader is back.
Almost two months after Amazon rocked the e-reader world with a completely rethought Kindle Oasis, the company is, as of Wednesday, offering a considerably more modest update to its entry-level Kindle e-reader.
The $79.99 E Ink-based Kindle (without a special surname attached to it) is now thinner, lighter, has more memory and comes in glorious white. The last time the U.S. market saw a white Kindle was way back in 2010 with the Kindle 2 and giant Kindle DX. Since then, they've all been varying shades of dark grey.
