Matthew McConaughey's 'Gold' Gets Release Date — hollywoodreporter.com

TWC-Dimension has set a Dec. 25 release date for Gold, in which Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey stars as a modern-day prospector searching for gold in the jungles of Indonesia. Inspired by a true story, the film, written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman, is directed by Stephen Gaghan, who also helmed 2005’s Syriana. The project was financed by Black Bear Pictures, whose Teddy Schwarzman produced alongside HWY 61’s Michael Nozik and Massett, Zinman and McConaughey.
