TORONTO -- Team Canada defeated Team Czech Republic 6-0 in its first game of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey at Air Canada Centre on Saturday.
Team Canada and captain Sidney Crosby picked up right where they left off in the last best-on-best tournament.
Crosby, playing with forwards Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand, had a goal and two assists, turning in the same type of dominating performance that marked his play during the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
