Excavations at Pydna, Pieria have unearthed a host of other artifacts. The grave shelters the remains of a young girl that was found with a diadem wrapped around her head, among layers of jewelry. According to archaeologist Konstantinos Noulas "the skeleton of the immature girl was found a strongly contacted position in the grave. The skeleton was adorned with numerous jewels and precious items, including a necklace with glass beads and carnelian (a semi-precious stone), a bracelet and three bronze rings, while pottery surrounded the interior of the grave. A bronze umbilical belt was found on the young girl’s skeleton, while the cause of her death i still unknown" Source
