Netflix Orders ‘The Kissing Booth’; YA Adaptation To Be Produced By Komixx — deadline.com

Netflix has ordered an original feature-length film adaptation of teenage author Beth Reekles’ young adult novel, The Kissing Booth. London- and LA-based is producing the drama with Vince Marcello (Teen Beach Movie) aboard to direct from his own screenplay. Reekles was 15 when she wrote the book which first appeared via online storytelling community Wattpad and was later published as an ebook by Random House in 2012 and as a paperback in 2013. The debut novel received more than 19 million reads worldwide.
