Novels: The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien and The Foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov Musk grew up as something of a lonely child and so spent a lot of his time reading. He especially enjoyed the escapism of science fiction and fantasy, spending longer than 10 hours a day reading the genre.
