Legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu ceases work due to illness • Eurogamer.net — eurogamer.net

Tom Phillips News Editor @tomphillipsEG Legendary video game composer Nobuo Uematsu has announced he can no longer continue with his current projects due to ill health. Writing in a post on his blog today, Uematsu declined to state the nature of his condition, except to say it had affected him now for a couple of years. Placing his career on hold indefinitely, Uematsu wrote that his return to work would be depend on his recovery. He did not want to continue working while ill and produce subpar music not up to his usual standard. Best known for his work scoring the Final Fantasy series, Uematsu also composed the scores for games such as Chrono Trigger, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and the stirring main theme for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Everyone at Eurogamer would like to wish Uematsu a swift recovery. Sometimes we include links to online retail stores.
