It is a general opinion that introductory physics is rather difficult because students feel that concepts are incomprehensible, unrelatable and abstract. This is mainly due to the reason that students have to grapple with various representations of the subject such as experiments, formulas, calculations, graphs and complicated theories. Physics as a discipline requires students to try their hands at different methods to translate what they have learnt in theory, into their practical life. Students often miss out on the ‘why’s and ‘how’s, taking everything at face-value; at a superficial level, and hence when concepts are dealt with at a greater depth and detail, students who had previously performed well in their physics examinations would seem to struggle quite a bit.
