Gucci Reveals Latest Collection Through 'Ouverture Of Something That Never Ended' — harpersbazaar.com.sg

On Sunday, Gucci concluded GucciFest, a digital fashion film festival featuring the debut of Ouverture of Something That Never Ended—a miniseries showcasing the brand’s new collection—co-directed by Academy Award winner and filmmaker Gus Van Sant and creative director Alessandro Michele. Shot in Rome, the seven-part film series follows actress, artist and performer Silvia Calderoni as she goes about her day, encountering eclectic characters. Brand ambassadors such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Florence Welch also make cameos in the episodes, wearing the brand’s latest offerings. This new presentation format is “a joyful and irregular new tale, no longer constrained by the old notion of seasonality, closer to his expressive call and told by blending rules and genres, feeding on new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms.” Alongside the miniseries, GucciFest also screened fashion films celebrating the works of fifteen independent young designers: Ahluwalia, Shanel Campbell, Stefan Cooke, Cormio, Charles De Vilmorin, JordanLuca, Mowalola, Yueqi Qi, Rave Review, Gui Rosa, Rui, Bianca Saunders, Collina Strada, Boramy Viguier, and Gareth Wrighton. Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore Editor-in-Chief Kenneth Goh sat down with actress Oon Shu An at the travelling exhibition when it arrived on our shores to talk about the significance of GucciFest and what clues it held for the future of the House.
