I'm going to watch this movie as soon as I can. If I can suggest you a good read that seems to tackle the same issues: Promethea by Alan Moore is really getting me, in this period.

Talks about the power of imagination, language and metaphors, there is an extensive mystic explanation of sex and a history of humanity told by tarots. Plus super heroes, science fiction and comics experimentation. I'm not selling it, anyway, just to be clear. ;)
