Harper's Magazine will be coming to an iOS or Android-based device near you this fall. If you're surprised Harper's waited until 2013 to make this move then you don't know Harper's. If you were born sometime after 1980 or so, there's a good chance you've never heard of Harper's anyway. These days, articles from the magazine are unlikely to pop up in your Twitter timeline or on your Facebook News Feed. That's a notable contrast to archrival The Atlantic, which has embraced digital media with Jarvisian zeal and has about three times the number of social media followers.
