True Blood star Stephen Moyer is set to play Captain George von Trapp in NBC's forthcoming production of The Sound Of Music. Moyer will play opposite Carrie Underwood, who stars in the lead role of Maria von Trapp, the part made famous by Julie Andrews in the five-time Oscar-winning 1965 film. The production will be based on the original Tony Award-winning 1959 Broadway play, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and will air live December 5 to kick off the holiday season.
