iOS Developer


CircleMe has developed a top-notch application for iOS devices. The initial versions of the app have been featured by Apple worldwide and multiple times on the Apple Store and have received awards such as AppCircus (London) in 2012 and Top-20 App during the World Mobile Congress of Barcelona in 2013.

We are now looking for the person that will bring the iOS development to the next level. The candidate will be in charge of all iOS-based product development and will work in close collaboration with the CEO and the head of product.


We are looking for an individual who is talented, full of energy, ready to work-hard/play-hard and excited about creating something disrupting for anyone connected to the www. We want everyone to be determined to do better day after day and to take full ownership of their projects and products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain iOS-based code for our CircleMe app(s).
  • Participate proactively in the decision process related to the development and directions of the product (not only mobile, but cross-platform).
  • Lead the product conceptualization for the iOS-based applications.
  • Interact with the rest of the Product team to develop solutions that co-exist and leverage each other for the best possible CircleMe user experience
  • Improve user-experience and performance of the current solutions
  • Do anything to make CircleMe grow and succeed, focusing on the true needs and interests of all our Circlers.
  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with iOS application development using iOS SDK
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
  • Know-how related to user-experience and design matters
  • Strong passion for software development
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent with strong academic record
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology (e.g. SCRUM)
  • Experience in working in small teams (and/or startup environments)

  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking tools (including Google Analytics)
  • Application(s) currently published on Apple Store
  • Back-end development experience
  • SQL experience (or interest)

  • Web Front-End Engineer


    We are looking for a very talented web front-end engineer to evolve our award-winning CircleMe web application.
    Does the challenge of working on a state-of-the-art social site excite you, offering a unique user-experience and high performances in order to impact positively millions of users? Are you passionate about using the latest front-end technologies, including JQuery, Rails and SASS, to write tight well tested code? If so, we’ve got the right position for you!
    You will work closely with the rest of the team to gather requirements and rapidly iterate on them as you develop new features and projects.
    This is your opportunity to leverage your passion for web-app coding in order to create an outstanding and innovative product that can change the way people enjoy their interests and passions in life.

    Responsibilities

    Your responsibilities at CircleMe will be to:

    • collaborate with product, back-end engineering, and operations to define clear requirements, deliverables, and milestones for new features
    • design, test, develop, and deploy production-ready web apps using Ruby on Rails.
    • coordinate with the engineering team to ensure the necessary services are exposed in our Rails environment

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years experience building web applications in a production environment
    • 3+ years experience writing and maintaining code in an interpreted language such as Ruby, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.
    • 1 year experience developing in the Rails framework
    • strong Javascript, Ajax, JQuery, CSS and HTML5 experience
    • demonstrated self management ability to organize yourself through the completion of all phases of a major project
    • ability to effectively interact with product managers and other organizational units such as UI designers and operations
    • familiarity with Agile Methodologies, including SCRUM
    • strong understanding of the client side performance, reliability and cross-platform compatibility aspects
    • ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment

    Back-End Engineer

    We are looking for a very talented back-end engineer to work on our award-winning service CircleMe.
    With CircleMe we have a mission to create the most valuable interest-based network available on the web. To do that, we need to offer a great product to our user, powered by sophisticated technologies and algorithms to boost performance, allow consumption of content related to people’s passions and facilitate the discovery of new interests related to the ones already expressed by users.

    You will work closely with the rest of the team to gather requirements and rapidly iterate on them as you develop new features and projects.

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years experience developing application features and building back-end infrastructures in a production environment
    • 3+ years experience writing and maintaining code in an dynamic language such as Ruby, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.
    • Knowledge of the Java programming language and ecosystem
    • 1 year experience developing in the Rails framework
    • Good knowledge of Linux, or similar systems
    • familiarity with Javascript, Ajax, JQuery, and CSS
    • demonstrated self management ability to organize yourself through the completion of all phases of a major project
    • experience in using SCM/VCS (knowledge of GIT preferable)
    • familiarity with AWS (AmazonWebServices), Heroku and GitHub

    Business Dev. and Partnerships Manager


    As our community of Circlers continues to grow worldwide and expresses Likes and ToDo's for millions of interests, we must provide to every user of our platform the best possible experience using our services. To do this, we focus on providing relevant content and value-added services to people by knowing what they care about. Great content and great services come from the many partners and collaborations we developed in these years. We need more!

    The Business Development and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the CEO to develop even more significant, valuable and impactful partnerships with leading companies in each sector. This role will also entail working on the monetization strategy of the company, which is closely related to the partnerships developed and the services provided to our engaged Circlers.

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive partnerships and business-development plan for CircleMe
    • Monitor progress against the plan and meet monthly and quarterly objectives
    • Develop and manage a network of contacts and a pipeline of opportunities
    • Build partnerships/collaborations with companies that could bring great value to the CircleMe experience
    • Manage the entire partnership/business-development process from initial contact to launch and maintenance of the relationship
    • Determine business development opportunities, package personalized offers, reach contract signature, monitor delivery to ensure 100% satisfaction by the partner and the final users
    • Coordinate with marketing team to communicate appropriately new launched collaborations

    What are we looking for?

    • Passion for technology and for our sector (i.e., content-discovery and web personalization)
    • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent with strong academic record
    • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) – our company operates primarily in English and our business and users are from at least 140 different countries (top being USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Brazil).
    • Minimum 2-3 years professional experience in the online industry: strong knowledge of online ecosystems for social-networks, interest-based networks and content-discovery services;
    • Robust knowledge of monetization systems (performance advertising, RTB, mobile marketing, etc.)
    • Developed network of contacts in the online and media sectors (international, with focus on USA, UK, Western/Southern Europe and Brazil)
    • Quick learner able to assimilate social media changes as they occur. S/he must also thrive under pressure, as this position is often demanding and continuously transforming as the online ecosystem/ business transforms
    • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements in the online space
    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills

    Graphic and User-Experience Designer


    We are looking for a bright UX designer with excellent Graphic Design, with a passion for combining a great user experience with stunning visual design. You’ll be responsible for making the CircleMe experience across platforms easy to navigate, understandable, enchant users and make CircleMe be at the forefront of the latest web technologies and trends.

    Due to the exciting developments inspace, the right candidate will not be afraid of taking the task of adapting their work to the latest technologies to space constrained and divergent platforms: from SmartWatches to large screens.

    What will you do?

    You’ll work close to the CEO, Marketing Manager, developers and (especially) users. You will take complete responsibility for designing simple, intuitive and engaging interfaces that will delight users. You will also be responsible for creating the graphic assets required for the Product, Marketing campaigns and others as required.


    Responsibilities

    Your responsibilities at CircleMe will be to:

    • Decide CircleMe’s visual design and UX for: Desktop, iOS (Tablet/Smartphone), Android(Tablet/Smartphone), Blackberry and others to come.
    • Find ways to solve navigation, complex interaction and visual design problems
    • Engage in user research activities with our customers that will help you better understand their needs, conduct user research and provide top-level findings.
    • Ability to understand end user needs, motivations and behaviours and translate them into actionable deliverables
    • Conduct usability testing and A/B testing
    • Work with Development to ensure the highest quality designs and functionality

    What are we looking for?

    • 1+ years of UX design experience for software, web applications, brand sites or mobile devices
    • 3+ years of Graphic Design Experience
    • Acquired skills in sketching, creating wire-frames, detailing user-journeys and developing prototypes
    • Experience and habit to develop design patterns and design manuals
    • Exposure to usability testing and ability to study results analytically
    • Focus and experience in user-centred designed processes
    • Experience in processes of continuous product improvements and simplification
    • Excellent Graphic design skills
    • Experience working alongside Product, Development and especially our users
    • Sufficient know-how of technologies such as CSS, javascript, HTML, Android, and IOS to quickly determine feasibility of design proposals
