Just Eat is an online takeaway food delivery service, headquartered in the UK and operating in 13 countries around the globe, including: Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, India, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. The platform allows customers to search for their favourite local take away restaurants and place orders online, choose from pick-up or delivery options. As of December 2012, Just Eat has over 29,000 restaurants, with over 13,000 in the UK. They are intermediary in the delivery of around 100,000 meals a day and have received over 30 million orders since the first site launched in August 2001. In September 2012, Just Eat was ranked number 31 in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 and also won the Best Brand Award.
